UBH works closely with schools throughout Honduras to help fulfill the government requirement that all children receive "values education." With the aid of a volunteer group of 250, all nationals, UBH teaches over 17,000 primary school students throughout the nation of Honduras. These volunteers are provided class time several times a week and provide the children with literature, coloring books, and other materials. Often these are the only books that the children are allowed to take home with them. Through these programs, UBH has the opportunity to have a significant impact on the future of Honduras.
